Working with globally harmonized data at EGU
ESIIL postdoctoral researcher, Katya Jay, attended the European Geosciences Union (EGU) 2025 meeting to participate in the NSF AccelNet-funded Global Ecosystem Research Infrastructure (GERI) Early Career Researchers (ECR) working group. The aim of this group is to bring early career researchers from all over the world together to work with globally harmonized data from across ecosystem research infrastructures (e.g., National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON), Integrated European Long-Term Ecosystem Research (eLTER), and others). In addition to attending meetings to work with other ECRs, Katya visited a nearby eLTER forest site with the team (see photo) and presented a talk on her research titled "Uncertainty in tundra plant functional traits outweighs climate scenario uncertainty."
