The ESIIL Evaluation Team engages in Collaborative Evaluation activities involving ESIIL leadership, subteams, and advisory board members (King and Stevahn, 2013; Shulha et al., 2016). These activities contribute to the iterative development and improvement of the synthesis center, the ESIIL community, and all ESIIL activities.
- At ESIIL’s inception, the evaluation and leadership teams collaboratively defined ESIIL’s overarching goals and aligned them with activities and measurable outcomes.
- The evaluation team continuously collaborates with ESIIL subteams to develop reflective and responsive evaluation approaches that help improve events, trainings, educational programs, and research collaborations.
- Each year, the evaluation team engages with leadership and advisory board members to reflect on ESIIL’s operations, progression toward center goals, and team communication and collaboration.
- Open communication, iterative feedback and recommendations from the evaluation team support the continual growth of the center.
