Levi "VeeVee" Cai

ESIIL Postdoctoral Associate

Levi “VeeVee” Cai is working with ESIIL’s AI lead, Esther Rolf on geospatial AI. Previously, he graduated from the MIT-Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program where he worked with Yogesh Girdhar and Daniela Rus on machine learning methods for perception and control of autonomous underwater vehicles to track and monitor marine animals.

VeeVee leverages machine learning methods applied to robotic perception and control to enable robots to operate in highly dynamic and unstructured environments. He also develops novel hardware platforms and investigate animal-robot and environment-robot interactions.
